Minnie Pwerle was a renowned Alyawarre and Anmatyerre artist from Atnwengerrp in the Utopia region of the Northern Territory. Despite beginning her painting career late in life, around 1999, Minnie quickly established herself as a major figure in contemporary Aboriginal art. Her work, marked by bold lines, vibrant colours, and expressive energy, drew immediate acclaim and was often likened to that of the celebrated Emily Kame Kngwarreye.
