Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi is an Anmatyerre artist born at Mt Allan in 1967, eldest daughter of renowned painter Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri. Taught by her father from childhood, she won the Alice Springs Art Prize at sixteen.

Her vibrant compositions depict ancestral narratives, particularly the Seven Sisters Dreaming inherited through her maternal line. This story chronicles seven sisters fleeing the predatory Wati-Nyiru across vast country before escaping to the sky as the Pleiades constellation, forever watching over women on earth. Now based in Melbourne, Gabriella's work features in major collections including the National Gallery of Australia.
